Please help us to preserve the past by supporting the Solanco Historical Society!  We are in an area with a rich American history that deserves to be saved for future generations.  We have a core staff of volunteers who work diligently to collect, categorize and digitize photographs, articles, newspapers, books and assorted documents relating to the Southern End.  We are also responsible for maintaining the 5 buildings which are part of the Robert Fulton Birthplace property.

    There are 3 ways to make a tax-deductible donation: 

• by credit card through PayPal (see the PayPal button below)
• by check or money order payable to "SLCHS" and mailed to our office at the following address, or 
• by personal delivery to this address:

         Donations to the Society can also be made In Memory Of or In Honor Of a friend or loved one.  At the bottom of this page is a Memorial/Honor Gift form for you to fill out and send to the 

        Society with your check at the above address. Alternatively you can mail the form or send an email and donate by way of PayPal. 

        Below you will find a tab with a copy of our Pennsylvania Department of State registration certificate as proof of our charitable organization status. 

        Please note that this Society makes every effort to spend donated funds carefully and to be fiscally responsible. Members work as unpaid volunteers to save on labor costs, the membership as a whole votes on all major purchases, and financial controls are in place to reduce the possibility of any misuse of funds. This is checked by an internal annual financial review by personnel not authorized to distribute funds.  The QuickBooks program provides the Society with itemized expenses in many categories so the reviewers can note any abnormality. In addition, members of the Board of Directors are committed to the success of this organization by not only donating many hours of their time but also by donating funds, thereby giving not only physical but financial support to the Society.
