All are welcome to join us for any of the following events at our headquarters at 1932 Robert Fulton Highway (near Swift Road), Fulton Township, across from the Robert Fulton Birthplace.  A
ttendance at the Society's business meeting after each monthly program is optional.  
The meeting room at the archives warehouse is handicapped-accessible and refreshments are served during the intermission. If you have any questions, please call our office on any Wednesday morning at (717) 548-2679, or on the 2nd or 4th Saturday of the month (September through May) from 9:00 A.M. to noon.

June 3, 2017 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM  SOUTHERN END HOUSE & HISTORY TOUR Solanco Historical Society This year's tour features 11 locations on a self-guided tour in Colerain Township in Southern Lancaster County and nearby Lower Oxford, West Fallowfield and Highland Townships in Chester County Start from Union Presbyterian Church, 5637 Street Rd., Kirkwood, PA 17536. Purchase advance tickets now for $17.00 at Society HQ (Wed. mornings) or Erma's Flowers, Quarryville or Stoltzfus Farm Svc., Cochranville during reg. hrs. On day of tour, tickets are $20 at Union Presbyterian Church, 5637 Street Rd., Kirkwood 17536, starting at 9:30 AM.

June 24, 2017 3 DAYS: 10:00 -4:00 June 23rd & 24th; 10:00-3:00 June 25th  CIVIL WAR ENCAMPMENT 2nd Pennsylvania Cavalry and 59th Regiment Volunteers Co. D; Solanco Historical Society Volunteers reenact living conditions of Civil War Soldiers; information provided by President Lincoln and Generals reenactors; weapons and artillery demonstrations; music; outdoor Sunday service; photographic opportunities. Entrance fee by donation. Robert Fulton Birthplace property, 6-1/2 mi. south of Quarryville on Route 222 near Swift Rd.

September 16, 2017 8:00 A.M. Bus Pickup  BUS TRIP to Smithsonian Museum  Solanco Historical Society Executive Coach bus transportation from Archives Building to Washington D.C. Tour the African-American Museum or other museum of your choice. Cost: $35.00 for bus transportation; Smithsonian free; self-paid lunch. Call 548-2679 for reservations or sign up at Archives Bldg. 9-12 on Wednesdays. Leave Robert Fulton Birthplace Archives Building at 8:00 A.M., meet at 4:00 P.M. for return trip, arrive back about 6:00 P.M.
